The show is produced by Endemol, currently through Endemol Shine Indiawho owns the global format of Big Brother. Kannada actor Sudeepwas roped in to host the reality show in 2013 for the first season on ETV Kannada (now Colors Kannada). Sudeep continues to be the part of the show as of fourth season in 2016. The first season of the show became popularand turned out to be a TRPmagnet,eventually becoming the No.1 reality show in South India.
